Job Summary
Provide nursing care in Joondalup Health Campus' busy private Surgical ward (acute surgical patients across urology, colorectal, abdominal surgery, ENT, vascular, plastics and some medical cases) within a multidisciplinary team. Plan, evaluate and deliver care with guidance from Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders; maintain high standards of nursing care, clinical leadership and effective care coordination; manage rapidly changing situations affecting patient care and workload; communicate with doctors, patients and stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes; ensure care aligns with core Ramsay values; require current nursing registration (AHPRA) and a minimum of three years’ acute surgical experience; demonstrate strong patient/customer service, adaptability, organization, and a passion for quality client-first care; roster includes a seven-day rotating pattern with a mix of day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an acute surgical department
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to uphold Ramsay’s core values
- Flexibility to work seven-day rotating roster including day/night shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check within previous 12 months
- Working-With-Children check and immunisation proof may be required per role
