Job Summary
Conduct critical care step-down nursing care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Perform EKG interpretation, manage central line care, and operate rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, and trach/vent systems. Assist providers with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while delegating tasks to PCNAs and nurse interns. Maintain critical thinking and time management across a 14-bed unit with rotating weekend and holiday shifts. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certification; PRN roles demand one year of relevant experience and all certifications upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- all required certifications upon hire
