Job Summary
Conduct patient care for individuals with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis on the Critical Care Step Down Unit. Interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and operate rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, trach, and ventilators. Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while collaborating with PCNAs, nurse interns, and providers. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications; one year of relevant experience needed for PRN roles. Work 72 bi-weekly hours in rotating shifts on a 14-bed unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- all required certifications upon hire
