Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Surgical/Acute Care Float Pool. Responsibilities include IV placement, blood draws, foley catheter care/removal, tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube management, drains, and wound care. Collaborates with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, and WOCN; float assignments span Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine. Requires Ohio RN licensure and BLS; BSN preferred with Magnet-recognized certification considered advantageous. MetroHealth offers tuition reimbursement and professional certification incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
