Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Surgical Step Down Unit within the Critical Care - Surgical Step Down department, providing high-quality, patient-centered clinical care. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessments, documenting and communicating with the interdisciplinary team, developing individualized plans of care, ensuring safety and compliance with policies, updating documentation as plans evolve, and contributing to nursing research activities (CRU) with mandated CEUs. RN levels I-IV are determined at hire based on Clinical Ladder requirements; Level II requires AAS in Nursing and specific ladder activities, Level III expands leadership and precept/charge experience, and Level IV requires BS in Nursing with advanced leadership responsibilities. REQUIRED qualifications include a Nursing diploma or associate degree, NYS RN license, and BLS certification. PREFERRED qualifications include a BSN and additional RN experience. The role supports full-time scheduling (36 hours per week) with a day shift pattern and alternating weekends/holidays, in Rochester, NY. The compensation range (base pay) is posted as $39.75–$52.99 per hour, with a listed pay range reflecting annualized earnings.
Required Qualifications
