Job Summary
Provide patient care to adult surgical patients requiring post-op recovery on the Surgical floor at Mercy Jefferson. Utilize the nursing process to manage cases involving general surgery, bariatric procedures, total joint replacement, fracture repair, and urological interventions. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments and ensuring confidentiality. Work 24 hours per week during days.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
