Job Summary
Provide bedside nursing for surgical observation patients, applying individualized care strategies and ensuring all actions align with safety protocols and organizational standards. Continuously evaluate patient stability and recovery, communicate changes to the medical team, coordinate care with specialists to ensure cohesive treatment, interpret physician and nursing directives to maintain treatment momentum, and assess discharge needs from admission to safe home recovery. Requires Indiana RN licensure and a nursing diploma, with BLS within 1 month of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
