Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care by performing physical, social, and psychological status assessments, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and developing individualized care plans. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination, manage time and resources, and document accurate, timely care while revising plans based on clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Maintain legal and ethical standards, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide education and referrals as needed. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and BSN degree; includes 36 weekly hours at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, with a salary range of $37.45 to $57.29.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Ability to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
