Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at Rochester General Hospital providing high-quality patient-centered care for high acuity surgical patients. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessment, documentation and communication with the interdisciplinary team, development and documentation of individualized care plans, adherence to safety and medication administration policies, updating documentation as plans evolve, completing at least one clinical research utilization form, pursuing continuing education hours, maintaining BLS certification, and meeting unit-focused education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse license in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
