Job Summary
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care for high-acuity patients across a wide spectrum of complex specialties. Assess, monitor, report, and record patient conditions while administering medications, providing education, and monitoring for efficacy and side effects. Design, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team, maintaining accurate and timely healthcare records. Educate patients and families throughout their stay and in preparation for discharge. This 30-bed unit provides care for a diverse and acutely ill population, with the Registered Nurse reporting to the Director.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- basic professional nursing degree
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
- Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities
- Competency in electronic patient management systems
- 12 Hour Night Shift

Desired Qualifications
- BSN or MSN degree
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting
