Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for post-operative colorectal, vascular, urological, and gastric bypass patients on a 19-bed surgical floor. Coordinate patient plans of care, monitor conditions, and communicate updates while maintaining ACLS certification and BLS requirements. Advocate for ethical care, foster learning environments for patients and staff, and align practice with safety and quality standards. Manage multiple responsibilities and urgent responses as part of an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and ancillary staff. Work full-time days with a weekender rotation, earning up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus and 25% weekend differential.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse in the State of Practice
- BSN in Nursing preferred
- BLS certification
- At least one year of experience
- Must maintain BLS certification
- Proficiency in Information Technology, such as electronic health records, communication systems, computers, and equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the position
- Skilled to work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Ability to use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that convey a positive and supportive attitude
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations
- Must be available for weekend shifts (weekender capacity)
