Job Summary
Delivers professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Performs scrub functions including instrument handling; circulates by monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures. Directly assists operating physician with hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure; prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments; applies evidence-based practice and ANA Ethics to nursing care. Education: graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure: RN in Illinois and BLS required. Experience: no experience required. Schedule: regular day shift with on-call and late shift requirements; 40 hours per week; sign-on bonus available for external candidates.
