Job Summary
Perform scrub and circulating functions in the operative setting, including instrument selection, patient monitoring, and communicating patient condition. Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for use while applying evidence-based practice to deliver age-specific and clinical care. Maintain a constant state of alertness and adhere to professional nursing standards and the ANA Code of Ethics. Works Monday through Friday on 10-hour day shifts with on-call rotation after orientation. Requires Missouri RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- State of Work Location: Missouri
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Monday-Friday (4, 10-hour shifts)
- On-call shifts will be required after completing orientation
