Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Surgery at SSM Health Outpatient Center in Sun Prairie provides professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. Responsibilities include scrub and circulating roles, assisting the operating physician with hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, preparing operating rooms and instruments, applying evidence-based nursing practice, and upholding ANA ethics while ensuring patient age- and condition-specific needs are met. Requires RN licensure and BLS HCP certification with no experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Current RN licensure in applicable states (IL, MO, OK, WI)
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association
