Schedule office and hospital-based medical procedures, diagnostic tests, and imaging for patients, ensuring appropriate provider slots and time/location availability. Interface with vendor and hospital staff to coordinate equipment and anesthesia groups, while confirming insurance, obtaining prior authorizations, and verifying medical clearance. Enter scheduling notes into the electronic medical record, document informed consent, and provide detailed instructions on test preparations and arrival times. Complete pre-procedure phone calls, review discharge instructions, and ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled. Perform assessments for advance directives and assist department members as needed. This part-time role operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Indianapolis, IN.
