Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, verify patient identity and surgical site, position patients, and administer pre-operative medications. Document vital signs, medications, and procedure details while maintaining a sterile environment by adhering to strict infection control protocols. Collaborate with surgeons and surgical team members to ensure patient safety before, during, and after surgery. Requires current state RN license, valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates, plus one year of perioperative experience. BSN and CNOR certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
