Job Summary
Pre-Operative Risk Mitigation: Leverage clinical expertise to conduct meticulous patient interviews and chart reviews, proactively identifying and mitigating medical anomalies or risk factors that could impact the surgical outcome. Interdisciplinary Clearance: Initiate physician consultations and order essential pre-operative diagnostics to ensure timely clinical clearance for the scheduled procedure. Comprehensive Patient Education: Educate patients on the surgical procedure, required preparatory steps, post-operative logistics (timing, transportation), and planning for inpatient stay or recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
