Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit within a technically complex environment, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safety and quality at the point of care. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation. Maintain current BLS and ACLS cards and contribute to secure safety standards aligned with AACN's Synergy Model. This role requires full-time day and night rotation with 72 hours per pay period and six months of ICU or PCU experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of ICU or PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- BLS and ACLS cards must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
- Shift: Day and Night Rotation
- Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
