Job Summary
Per diem Registered Nurse at a Fairfield, CT surgery center. Provides direct nursing care pre, during, and post procedure under supervision, assists physician, documents patient information, administers medications and IV moderate sedation, and serves as scrub technologist as needed. Requires RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, 4–6 years of related experience, and experience in ASC/IR/ICU settings; high school diploma with nursing degree strongly preferred and associate/bachelor's degrees encouraged. The role emphasizes quality compliance, patient education, and coordination with physicians and facility management in a surgical-center environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Associate's Degree desirable; Bachelor's strongly preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required
- 4 - 6 years' related experience preferred
- Experience with ASC/ASC/Interventional Radiology/ICU/ED settings preferred
- Proficient in IV insertion and cardiac rhythm recognition
- BLS & ACLS certifications completed
