Job Summary
Provide specialized patient care utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes, and participating in on-call rotations. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing school and current RN licensure in Ohio. Preferred experience in OR and PACU, especially in Ophthalmology, plus ACLS and PALS certification within six months. Dedication to teamwork and adherence to ethical standards is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
- Previous experience in Operating Room (OR) and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) preferred, especially in Ophthalmology.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to teamwork and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Adherence to professional standards and ethical principles in nursing practice.
- Ability to participate in on-call duties with a response time of less than 45 minutes.
- Consistent, reliable attendance.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency or willingness to learn and work in all perioperative areas including Outpatient Surgery, OR, PACU, and Endoscopy.
