Job Summary
Provide supervision of the skilled nursing team and direct resident care by performing duties of a front-line supervisor for CNAs and CNA's. Conduct regular rounds assessing health and mental status, assist physicians, and ensure medications, treatments, and infection control protocols are followed per orders. Manage patient electronic records, maintain timely documentation, and oversee nursing policies and pharmaceutical regimens. Lead recruitment and retention efforts for licensed and unlicensed staff while contributing to the QAPI process and managing census growth. Participate in all scheduled in-service training and education programs. This PT weekend role requires active physical movement, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent night and weekend work at The Gables, a luxury senior living company.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards
- Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- This position is PT and works weekends
- This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work
- This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs
- This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs and ability to push up to 250 pounds independently
- This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing
- The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living
Desired Qualifications
- Four year college or university degree desired
- Two years' experience in a similar healthcare position preferred
- Management experience preferred
