Job Summary
Provide supervision of the skilled nursing team and direct resident care as a front-line supervisor to CNAs. Perform professional and restorative nursing services, make regular rounds assessing health and mental status, and assist physicians during rounds. Manage patients' electronic records, ensure medications and treatments follow orders, and oversee infection control and nursing policies. Recruit and retain licensed and unlicensed staff while contributing to the QAPI process and managing census growth. This position requires frequent standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and long hours including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards
- Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- This position is PT and works weekends
- This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work
- This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs
- This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs and ability to push up to 250 pounds independently
- This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing
- The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living
Desired Qualifications
- Four year college or university degree desired
- Two years' experience in a similar healthcare position preferred
- Management experience preferred
