Job Summary
RN Supervisor in the Urology department provides nursing care under physician/office management oversight, leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, promotes evidence-based practice, and drives survey readiness and compliance with clinical standards. The role emphasizes professional development of licensed and unlicensed staff, coordination of care, relationship-based patient care, and adherence to WellStar policies and regulatory requirements. Requires Georgia RN licensure, supervisory experience, and strong leadership and collaboration skills. This position is based in Acworth, GA, and operates full-time with day shift responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license (Current/active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia)
- RN license type: RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or equivalent (ARC-BLS)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with supervisory or leadership experience
- Preferred: Nursing degree at the bachelor's level (BSN) or higher; supervisory/leadership capabilities; experience in a physician practice setting; experience in a urology specialty
- Ability to implement national nursing standards and evidence-based practice; strong interpersonal skills; detail-oriented; effective communication with staff, providers, and patients
- Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate staff to provide patient care; ensure staffing and workflow efficiency; manage daily operations; onboarding and training of clinical staff
- Compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., TJC, WellStar safety absolutes); ability to participate in survey readiness and quality improvement
- Knowledge of health care systems, clinical informatics, and EHR training needs; collaboration with Practice Managers and Clinical Services
