Job Summary
Supervises the Nursing Services Department and directs nursing staff during shifts to ensure best patient care; assists Director of Nursing in coordinating nursing services, ensures compliance with Nursing Practice Act, facility policies, and local/state/federal regulations; supervises nurses with patients during acute episodes, addresses employee issues, and assumes on-call responsibilities; requires RN license in North Carolina, current CPR certification, and a high school diploma with preference for long-term care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Licensed by North Carolina Board of Nursing
- CPR certified yearly
- High school graduate
- Experience supervising nursing staff preferred
- Geriatric nursing interest
- Read, know, and follow policies and procedures
- Background checks/Drug free workplace
