Job Summary
Registered Nurse Supervisor - Emergency Department leading staffing and clinical coordination during night shifts for the Emergency Department. Oversees admission/discharge processes, collaborates with management to improve patient flow and outcomes, supports patient-first care, participates in staff interviewing, training, scheduling, and inventory management, and ensures staff compliance with policies while delivering high-quality, safe patient care in a busy ED. The role emphasizes leadership, staffing support, clinical governance, and implementation of nursing strategies to optimize throughput and patient experience in the Medical City Arlington ED. Note: Requires RN licensure and active certifications listed above; educational requirement includes an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing; no travel required.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of experience in nursing (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
