Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) at Sunrise Senior Living – Bedford Court in Silver Spring, MD. Provides direct guest/resident care and supervision of licensed and non-licensed team members in a skilled nursing center, leading care consistent with the Mission to champion quality of life for all seniors. Responsibilities include clinical care (assists with CNA/DNA supervision, case management for Medicare and non-Medicare residents, participation in care planning, medication management/administration, documentation, incident reporting), rounds with physicians, and communication of resident information. Involves QA and regulatory compliance, restorative practices, infection control, training and supervising team members, and coordinating with physicians and families. Requires RN license, approval from state/provincial authorities, and at least one year of supervisory/management experience in a relevant setting; ability to work weekends and flexible hours; proficiency with Sunrise systems and MS Office. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of approved college / school of nursing
- current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN)
- One (1) year supervisory and management experience in a skilled nursing, long term care, hospital or home health environment
- understanding of Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the Care Plan Process
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills
- Written and verbal communication skills and ability to teach and guide clinical team members
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours
