Job Summary
Respond to sudden alterations in the health status of guests using comprehensive nursing assessment and intervention skills. Maintain current knowledge by integrating organisational policies with professional standards. Practice collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote the safety, security, and personal integrity of individuals. Provide nursing care adhering to registration requirements, NMBA standards, and relevant legislation. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating autonomy and professional judgement in a dynamic clinical environment. This role supports guests in a residential recovery program for stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Candidates must possess at least three years post-graduate experience and flexibility for various shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and on-call work.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, education preparation, relevant legislation and context of care
- At least 3 years post-graduate experience as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrates evidence of autonomy and exercises greater levels of professional judgement in the clinical environment, utilising clinical skills in a dynamic environment
- Mental health experience in a clinical setting, or desire to develop these skills
- Demonstrated ability to be calm and considered under dynamic work conditions
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- High levels of computer literacy
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays in addition to on call work
