Job Summary
Monitor and care for patients during Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures, including preparing them for procedures, checking vital signs, and administering moderate sedation. Insert and remove IV lines, analyze lab results and medical history, and provide education to patients and family members. Oversee patient safety and comfort, provide post-procedure monitoring, and supervise care given by nonprofessional staff. Requires an Associate's degree or BSN, two years of moderate sedation experience, and current state nursing license. Includes ACLS/BLS certification and six months of recent professional nursing experience. Prolonged periods of standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and computer work are required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing or BSN
- Two years of moderate sedation administration and recovery
- Current license to practice nursing in the state
- Minimum of six months of recent experience as a professional nurse
- ACLS/BLS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab
- Experience in Pre-Op/PACU, CV, and ICU
- Experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab
