Registered Nurse - Stepdown

Job Summary
Provides direct nursing care in the Stepdown unit, performing comprehensive data collection from patients and families to develop a holistic care plan. Analyzes data to determine diagnoses or conditions, identifies optimal outcomes with the patient and interprofessional team, and implements plans to promote safety and effective care. Collaborates with patients, families, and the interprofessional team; evaluates progress toward goals; applies evidence-based practice and clinical inquiry; maintains competency and up-to-date knowledge; and communicates effectively across practice areas. Requires RN licensure (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin), and active certifications including BLS, ACLS, and at least one of ENPC/PALS/NRP/TNCC/TP essential credentials. The role involves a full-time day schedule with weekend rotation and is based in the hospital setting in Fenton, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- State RN licensure in IL/MO/OK/WI (multiple state licensure required or allowed)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- ACLS
- ENPC OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) OR Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) OR Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Essentials
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Ability to work fulltime day shift with every third weekend rotation
- Experience not required (accepts new graduates)
