Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols by systematically evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Establish effective relationships with patients, families, and the inter-professional team to facilitate unique care plans and collaborative decision-making. Utilize the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care, including collecting assessment data, determining diagnoses, and promoting health or comfort. Educate patients and families on measures that maintain or restore health while fostering a healthy work environment as a mentor and role model. Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to medical-surgical nursing, ensuring care aligns with the department's Scope of Service and patient-specific needs. Perform point of care testing as assigned and work in a constant state of alertness.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
