Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the stepdown unit while maintaining professional accountability for care effectiveness. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for nurses with at least one year of experience. No contract is required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period
- Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire
