Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status for adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients. Formulate goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses and implement skilled interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Perform documentation duties on the floor and in patient records ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Execute physician orders, manage emergency situations following established protocols, and maintain CPR/ACLS certification. Work as part of a team while attending mandatory in-services and staff meetings. Maintain flexibility to adapt to new approaches and assist with other duties as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- License as registered nurse in the state of Alaska
- Maintains CPR/ACLS certification
- Must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand and/or walk at least 10 hours per day
