Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the mental health unit providing high-standard patient care, participating in planning, implementing and evaluating day-to-day mental health and basic physical care requirements, conducting mental health and clinical assessments, risk assessments, and developing comprehensive nursing care plans. Delivers coordinated care with a multidisciplinary team, maintains thorough handovers, supports education and promotion for patients and families, advocates for patient rights, and supervises Enrolled Nurses and PCAs as needed. Emphasizes effective communication, safety, and adherence to hospital policies in a diverse, Catholic-health-care setting in Midland, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with nursing registration (AHPRA)
- Ability to deliver high standard of patient care in mental health
- Experience with mental health assessments and care planning
- Competence in risk assessment and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Strong communication and advocacy for patients and families
- Ability to supervise Enrolled Nurses, students and PCAs as required
- Commitment to safety, patient rights, and adherence to hospital policies
