Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Use the nursing process to develop and implement care plans, collect assessment data, determine diagnoses, and evaluate patient outcomes. Establish effective relationships with patients, families, and the interprofessional team to facilitate unique care plans and collaborative decision-making. Educate patients on measures that promote health and restore comfort. Serve as a mentor and role model for nursing colleagues, students, and others. Apply evidence-based practice to medical-surgical nursing, ensuring care meets age-specific and clinical needs. Perform point-of-care testing as assigned. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Float between campuses based on staffing needs. Requires one year of RN experience for Ministry Float or two years for Regional Float. Night shift rotation every third weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year registered nurse experience (Ministry Float) or two years' registered nurse experience (Regional Float)
- State of Work Location: Illinois
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Night Shift (United States of America)
