Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Special Procedures in Radiology. Provide direct nursing care for Radiology patients including conscious sedation and medication administration; assess patient condition before/during/after procedures; administer medications including narcotics; perform post-procedure care and hand-off communication; maintain emergency equipment and crash cart; respond to Radiology calls and coordinate coverage; assist with procedures requiring RN support (e.g., Nuclear Medicine Stress Tests); demonstrate competency with equipment and ensure medication management policies are followed; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- RN (Registered Nurse)
- Associate Degree
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- At least one year of experience in direct patient care, preferably in a Critical Care area, ER
- Preferred: 2 years’ experience in Critical Care, Special Procedures Radiology Department, or other procedural area administering Conscious Sedation
