Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care for Radiology patients, including conscious sedation and medication administration; assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures; monitor for physiological changes and report to the physician; perform post-procedure care and communicate patient status to receiving units; maintain and check emergency equipment and crash cart; respond to Radiology calls and coordinate coverage; assist with procedures requiring RN support including Nuclear Medicine Stress Tests; demonstrate competency with equipment and ensure compliance with medication management policies; contribute to patient safety, throughput, and adherence to ICARE values.
Required Qualifications
- RN (Registered Nurse)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Experience: At least one year of direct patient care, preferably in Critical Care ER
- Preferred: 2 years’ experience in Critical Care, Special Procedures Radiology or other procedural area administering Conscious Sedation
