Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse delivers professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, administering medications, observing and evaluating patient conditions, documenting interventions and outcomes in the electronic health record, providing patient and family education, triage, maintaining a sterile environment, equipment management, and collaborating with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote safety, quality, and positive patient experiences. The role requires adherence to Alaska BON scope of practice, infection prevention, and SEARHC policies, with flexibility to float to other departments as needed.
