Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) at St. David’s South Lamar ER (FSED) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. Responsibilities include assessing patient pain and needs, performing procedures and documenting care, promptly responding to requests, and educating patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle changes. The role emphasizes guiding patient education, translational communication of medical information, and adherence to established nursing models to support positive clinical outcomes and department performance. Required Qualifications
- RN license (RN)
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS within 6 months of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 18 months of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale within 60 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course within 18 months of employment start date
