Job Summary
Assess patient needs, prioritize care based on critical nature, stabilize patients, initiate treatment, and discharge patients after the emergency resolves or arrange for longer hospital stays. Triage and determine care priority based on physical, psychological, and social needs while managing patient flow through the emergency care system. Provide professional nursing care during the initial phase of acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days)
- ACLS certification (must be obtained within one year of hire)
- PALS certification (must be obtained within one year of hire)
- ENPC certification (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
- TNCC certification (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Previous nursing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates effective leadership abilities
- Exhibits valuable time management skills
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
