Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for home health services in Irving, TX. Responsible for initial patient assessments, developing and revising care plans, administering medications as prescribed, educating patients and families, coordinating discharge planning, and acting as Case Manager when assigned. Will prepare clinical notes, communicate with physicians, coordinate care with community health resources, and participate in on-call duties. Supervises home health aides and ensures equipment and services are available; requires self-direction, strong communication, and ability to organize workload.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state
- Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing
- Maintain a current CPR certification
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
- Minimum of two years’ experience, at least one of which is in the area of public health or home care nursing is preferred
