Job Summary
Assess and manage student illness and injury, provide first aid and emergency medical care, and administer medications while maintaining accurate, confidential health records. Collaborate with families, staff, and external healthcare providers to support student wellbeing and promote a safe, healthy learning environment. This 0.6 FTE contract role spans three days per week for the remainder of the 2026 academic year within South Coast Baptist College's Student Services team. Candidates must hold current AHPRA registration and relevant clinical qualifications, aligning with the institution's Christian mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities
- A commitment to child safety and student wellbeing
- A desire to support the Christian mission and values of the College
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications
- Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain
- Personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
- Active participation in a church or Christian community
- Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith
- Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous nursing experience in a school, paediatric, or community health setting
- Experience using school management or electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of child and adolescent health within an educational environment
