Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) at Chamberlain Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD, delivering patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) and collaborating with physicians and inter-professional colleagues. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, triage, care coordination, and ensuring adherence to the Nurse Practice Act and applicable standards. Contracts are 14 weeks with the option to extend to another Sanford site; rotating 12-hour shifts, typical weekly hours around 36; travel staffing opportunities across the country with a weekly pay stipend and Sanford benefits; requires active RN licensure, accreditation from AACN/ACEN/NLN CNEA, and ability to meet department competencies. Job function: Nursing; location-based requirements include being within 60 miles of the Chamberlain, SD site or related locations. Includes drug screening and background checks as part of the onboarding process.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in an NLC state
- Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- At least one year of nursing experience
- At least six months of travel experience
