Job Summary
Direct nursing care to residents while supervising licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assess changes in resident status, transcribe physician orders, administer medications, and perform wound treatments, colostomy changes, and IV administration as assigned. Provide nursing leadership, initiate and update care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic needs are met. Participate in management meetings, end-of-life care, infection control protocols, and survey processes. Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies, report incidents or grievances, and fulfill responsibilities during emergency drills and activations.
Required Qualifications
- A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
- Current CPR certification.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
