Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in the SICU, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of plans for assigned patients. Requires RN licensure in Georgia with BLS; ACLS and PALS (and ASLS/GSCC with NIHSS) within specified timelines; ADN is required with BSN preferred. Primary duties include data collection, developing and implementing care plans, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, stroke-related education, and participation in quality improvement activities. Emphasis on critical care delivery, patient safety, and adherence to hospital standards and mission in a fast-paced ICU setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a state-accredited school (Required)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with current Georgia license (Required)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained prior to completing unit orientation
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained prior to completing unit orientation
- Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) or Georgia Stroke Core Curriculum (GSCC) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
