Job Summary
Registered Nurse at Sevita/Mentor Community Services, providing community-based health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injury, substance use disorder, and emotional/behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, implementing health care plans, communicating with physicians and medical centers, providing technical assistance, medical oversight, and staff training to ensure proper service delivery, contributing to care plans, ensuring physician orders are followed, and traveling between multiple locations to support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- One year of experience working with the population we serve
- Current state RN License
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Excellent assessment skills with the ability to exercise critical thinking in the clinical environment
- Effective communication skills – ability to communicate clearly with team members, medical professionals, those we serve, and their families
