Job Summary
The Registered Nurse provides nursing services and training to address medical or psychiatric needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, substance abuse issues, or emotional/behavioral challenges. Responsibilities include conducting medical assessments, developing and implementing service plans with physicians, updating nursing care plans, maintaining medical records, administering medications, coordinating care with primary care physicians and specialists, promoting health and wellness, and providing medical skills training to clients and staff. The role may involve light household tasks, transporting individuals to activities, and participating in on-call coverage. Requires RN license, CPR/First Aid, and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- One year experience working with medically complex individuals
- Current state RN License
- Current driver’s license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
