Job Summary
The Scrub Scout perioperative RN role involves prepping and passing sterile instruments directly to the surgeon at the operating table, managing the broader theatre environment, safety checks and handling unsterile supplies from the periphery. You will plan, evaluate and deliver care with support from the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders, requiring strong clinical assessment and critical thinking, excellent communication and teamwork. The role requires flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster and includes a dual perioperative function within the theatre setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with AHPRA (Registered Nurses)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in the perioperative space.
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
- Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
