Job Summary
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients throughout their time in the theatre, assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating their care needs. Monitor patients' conditions during procedures and report any changes. This full-time or part-time role requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience as a Scrub Scout, current unrestricted AHPRA registration, and broad exposure across surgical specialties in an acute tertiary environment. Candidates must be adaptable, compassionate, and able to work a Monday–Friday rotating roster of AM and PM shifts. Located at Epworth Freemasons in East Melbourne, the position supports a diverse team of patient-centred professionals in a collaborative perioperative setting.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience as a Scrub Scout
- Current unrestricted AHPRA nursing registration
- Experience within an acute tertiary environment
- Broad exposure across a range of surgical specialties
- Ability to work a Monday – Friday rotating roster (mix of AM and PM shifts)
- Annual Influenza vaccination
- Satisfactorily clear a National Police Check
- Valid employee Working with Children Check
