Job Summary
The Registered Nurse oversees all medical aspects of the health of individuals supported, ensuring their physical well-being through regular face-to-face contacts and scheduling of medical appointments. The role requires completing nursing assessments, managing medication supplies, and serving as an advocate during medical care. Responsibilities include maintaining mandated medical records, participating in program planning related to health needs, and training staff on health issues and medication administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare protocols and demonstrate good judgment and decision-making while being a role model for both staff and individuals supported.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN
- Valid N.Y.S Driver's License

- One year of experience working with people supported with an intellectual development disability preferred
- Respect for the person supported and embodies the importance of person-first language & the Justice Center's Code of Conduct
