Job Summary
School Health Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th-grade students in assigned schools. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments per physician orders, triage and urgent care, maintaining infection control and PPE, managing the health room and medical supplies, developing individualized health care plans for students with chronic conditions, coordinating with IEP/504 teams and liaising with parents/guardians, maintaining student health records in the electronic School Health system, conducting mandated health screenings, and collaborating with school staff to support students' well-being and academic success. Travel to alternate school locations as needed; supervises Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP); provides staff education on medication administration and management of chronic or life-threatening conditions; participates in emergency response as required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure
- CPR/BLS certification
- maintains applicable nursing licenses and continuing education credits
